1. What is project abandonment and why is there a fee?

Project abandonment occurs when clients agree to our terms, read and sign the service contract (found in the product description), and sent via email after order to sign electronically but fail to submit the required details within the specified timeframe.

  • If you miss the deadline, your project is considered abandoned.
  • A project abandonment fee is required to reopen the project.
  • Each project can only be reopened once. If it’s abandoned again, the order will be permanently closed, and the client will be banned from booking.

2. Do I have to submit all the flyers in a flyer kit at once?

Yes, flyer kits should be submitted together or within the same timeframe.

  • Example: You cannot purchase a 4-pack flyer kit and use one flyer each month.
  • For separate timelines, purchase single flyer services instead.

3. Do websites come with monthly fees?

Yes, websites designed on Wix, Shopify, and Acuity Booking require monthly subscriptions.

  • Your responsibilities:
    • Choose the subscription that suits your business.
    • Pay the subscription and any additional app fees monthly.
  • For technical issues, contact the platform’s customer service directly (not Stonie Studios).

4. What happens after I place an order?

After placing your order:

  1. You’ll receive an automatic email with links to your contract and design form.
  2. Fill out and submit these forms promptly.
  • Note: Your project’s turnaround time starts only after you’ve signed the contract and fully submitted the required details.

5. Does an Acuity booking website include uploading my services?

No, Stonie Studios only handles the design.

  • We no longer offer service uploads for clients.

6. Why don’t you print on boxes directly?

Box sizes vary greatly based on business needs.

  • We offer vendor lists (2 included) where you can print custom boxes that suit your requirements.

7. How long does printing take?

Printing usually takes 7-14 business days, excluding major holidays.

  • Third-party services print and ship items directly to you.
  • You’ll receive a tracking number once your order is updated.

8. What is a domain, and where can I purchase one?

  • A domain is your website’s URL (e.g., www.yourbusiness.com).
  • Recommendations:
    • For Wix and Shopify: Purchase domains directly through these platforms to avoid domain transfer issues.
    • For Acuity Booking: Domain names will end in .AS.ME and cannot be changed to .com.

9. Can I combine shopping and booking on Shopify?

No, Shopify does not natively support both.

  • You’ll need a third-party app or a separate booking website linked to your Shopify menu tabs.
  • Wix is the only platform we work with that offers both shopping and booking on one website.

10. What files come with my logo?

You’ll receive:

  • PNG, PDF, SVG, and all transparent files.

11. Do you create image-based logos?

We specialize in text-based logos.

  • Clip art can be added, but note that these images:
    • Cannot be trademarked.
    • Are open for anyone to use legally.

12. What are font licenses, and do they come with my logo?

  • Font licenses are required to legally use fonts for logos, websites, merchandise, etc.
  • Stonie Studios designs affordable text-based logos without license fees included.
  • Clients receive links to purchase font licenses for selected logos.

13. Can retractable banners be printed faster?

Yes, if you have access to a local FedEx print shop.

  • Check their stock and website for discount codes before submitting your design.

14. What’s the difference between custom and ready-to-ship LED signs?

  • Custom LED Signs:
    • Require a quote for medium or large sizes.
    • We can design the sign with a purchase of our text-based logo service.
  • Ready-to-Ship LED Signs:
    • Faster option where you type your text, select a font and color, and receive immediate processing.

15. Is billboard design only or placement included?

  • Stonie Studios offers design-only services.
  • For placements, we can provide contacts in Montgomery, AL; Mobile, AL; and Pensacola, FL after your order.

16. Do hair tags come with pre-punched holes?

No, clients need to punch their own holes.


17. What is a logo suite + branding sheet?

  • Logo Suite: Includes primary, secondary, and submark logos.
  • Branding Sheet: Displays brand colors, font names, aesthetic mood board, and links to purchase font licenses.

18. How do I send an eBook to my customers?

Our eBook service provides a PDF file.

  • Upload this file to your product page for customers to download upon purchase.

19. Do you offer creative direction outside Alabama?

Yes!

  • Travel prices depend on location and include costs like flights, gas, and lodging.

20. Can I reprint designs without going through you?

Yes.

  • Use the PNG or PDF files provided to upload and print through any service of your choice.

21. Can I update my design myself or request changes?

  • Stonie Studios does not offer editable templates.
  • For updates:
    • Changes start at $10 if we have your files on hand (kept for up to 1 year but is not guaranteed to be on file for up to one-year due to keeping storage open).
    • After 1 year, a $35 project reopening fee applies, in addition to change fees if we still happen to have your files.
